Fishin Mission
Fishin Mission now has two great vessels, the new 7.9m Luhrs 28 Open Gameboat with twin 225 Yanmar diesel motors, a private toilet, hot/cold shower, galley with hot plate and microwave, colour GPS and fish finder, kill tank and live bait tank and airconditioning. It is the perfect vessel for your game fishing needs.
The other vessel is a 7.5m Sailfish Platinum Series with twin 150 horsepower, four stroke Honda motors. It includes a toilet, colour GPS, fish finder, kill tank, live bait tank, transom door with boarding ladder and many other features to make your time as enjoyable as possible.
Not only are the Fishin Mission vessels fantastic fishing boats providing great amenities, but both are designed and powered to give comfortable and quick travelling to the reef or islands and game fishing grounds, giving you more fishing time! They are also able to venture out on those days that would be too windy for other, smaller vessels.
REEF FISHING
Enjoy a day's fishing on the world famous Great Barrier Reef. They target a variety of reef and pelagic species such as coral trout, trevally, red emperor, tuna and sweetlip on the reef drop offs.
Departing at 7.30am and returning at 4.00pm, cruising for an hour each way, allowing for over 7 hours of fishing at a competitive price of $350 per person. Maximum 6 people per trip.
ISLAND FISHING
Fish the local reefs around the islands from the Barnards to Wheeler Island.
This is the perfect half day's fishing adventure in the waters surrounding Dunk Island.
Cruise for approximately half an hour each way, departing from the Clump Point boat ramp, near Mission Beach at 7.30am and returning at 12.00pm.
Fishin’ Mission can cater for 4 to 6 island fishing guests, at an affordable $20 per person. Maximum 6 people per trip.
GAME FISHING
This is the ultimate in fishing, chasing that fish of a lifetime. Trolling a combination of lures and fresh baits you will cover areas from the inshore reefs to the shelf where anything is possible. The new Luhrs Gameboat gets you out to the best spots quickly and comfortably and is fully equipped to tackle the biggest gamefish. $2500 per trip, sole charter.
SNORKELLING
Fishin’ Mission also caters to families and small groups who wish to snorkel on the great Barrier Reef, but avoid the crowds of the larger operators.
They depart from the Clump Point boat ramp, at 9.00am and return at 3.00pm. They can cater for up to 6 passengers. A full day family snorkel charter on Fishin Mission, including lunch and all snorkelling gear is $350 per person. Maximum 6 people per trip.
